Your TOEIC Score
You will receive your TOEIC score report directly by mail about two weeks after taking the test. Your score report will provide information about your performance in both Listening and Reading, as well as a total combined TOEIC score.
The scores you will receive are determined by the number of questions you answer correctly. The number of correct responses on each section is converted to a number on a scale of 5 to 495. Adding your Listening and your Reading scores together gives your TOEIC total score on a scale ranging from 10 to 990. There is no penalty for wrong answers.
Your official TOEIC score report will include the following information.

What your TOEIC score means to the institutions that receive them
TOEIC scores are used to measure how well test takers might do in real-life settings and situations where they're required to speak English. Because the TOEIC test can be applied to almost any international work situation where English is used, scores are often linked to particular positions or job functions.
Keep in mind, however, that there is no "passing" or "failing" score on the TOEIC, as different organizations set different score standards for different positions. To find out what specific score you need to achieve on the test, contact the organization which has asked you to submit TOEIC scores.
