Portuguese GPP 1 is an introductory level which will provide learners with the ability to express their needs, understand statements, and communicate successfully in day-to-day general situations. Learners will practice using basic grammatical structures (articles, contractions, plurals) and the most common tenses.

Course Title Portuguese GPP 2
Average units 100 units

Portuguese GPP 2 is an intermediate course which will give learners the ability to use more complex grammatical structures, vocabulary, and verb tenses. Learners will be able to satisfy social demands as well as general work requirements.

  • Differences between continental Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese

Course Title Portuguese GPP 3
Average units 100 units

This course will challenge students to apply the structures learned thus far in high-level debates and conversations. By the end of the course, learners will be able to use all verb tenses for regular and irregular verbs. Learners will also be able to fluently discuss a wide variety of issues and topics using specific vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, including topics on the Brazilian economy, history, and culture.

Course Title Portuguese GPP 4: Case Studies
Average units 50 units

This tailored course is designed for advanced students of Portuguese who are interested in learning the language of business. Portuguese language books and articles will be used as springboards for discussing business topics and case studies. Students will learn to use specialized business vocabulary in their fields of interest (including marketing, banking, and management).
